Photography of Lago D’Orta, Northern Italy
In 2019 I moved to Lago D’Orta, one of Italy’s most beautiful locations and best-kept secrets. Located in the pre-Alps of Piemonte, it used to be one of the most polluted lakes in the world. Thanks to conservation efforts and fuelled by a love for it from locals and travellers alike, summer finds its shores filled with swimmers, kayakers and boaters (including me)!
I have lived here now for 2 years, and despite being over-worked more often than not (hence the delay in posting these) I try to make time for photography of Lago D’Orta whenever possible. It was, after all, one of the main reasons for moving to a place imbued with natural beauty. While my day job has moved towards marketing and brand strategy, photography will always be my first love.
